Supporting the best Chamber Music on Merseyside

The Rodewald Concert Society was formed in 1911 in memory of the celebrated benefactor and conductor in Liverpool Alfred E Rodewald (1861 – 1903).

Patronship and Membership

Patronship and Membership of the Society is offered to anyone who shares the aspirations of the Society to continue to offer Liverpool and Merseyside the opportunity to hear Chamber Music of the highest quality.

The amount for patronage is set at a minimum of £30 per year. The Society will welcome patrons who feel able to contribute to the Society in any way possible. Patronage indicates support for Chamber Music in general and allow the Society to cater for their interests in the provision of focused concerts. A Patron can be acknowledged in the Concert Programme if they so wish.

For those wishing to maintain a close link to the Society, membership is open to all at the modest sum of £10, income which is used to further the aims of the Society.

Some of the Society's income is used to sponsor Chamber Music Concerts and related events and to commission new works. Anyone wishing to have further information about this should contact the Society membership secretary.

Patrons and Members are entitled to a vote at General Meetings of the Society and also to stand for membership of the Committee of management.    By expressing interest in the Society, members can also ensure a healthy future for Chamber Music in  Liverpool and Merseyside of the highest possible standard and quality.
